Corbin Bleu Question and Answer Session
Posted on December 18th, 2006 in Corbin Bleu NewsDallas News recently did a Q&A session with Corbin Bleu, which you can read below (click “continue…” to view the full Q&A):
What was the first night of High School Musical: The Concert tour like?
The whole day I was fine. It wasn’t hitting me yet. Then about 20 minutes before we started, when I could hear all the people outside, it hit me. I did something I shouldn’t have done. I looked out at the people. I started pacing and thinking: “I can’t do this. I can’t believe we’re gonna do this.” Then the music started.
And I was looking at my cast mates, and we were all holding hands and smiling, and the second we went out we heard screams. When you have all those people adoring what you’re doing, it’s the best feeling in the world. The whole show we were in show mode, but we kept looking at each other like, “I can’t believe we’re doing this!”
Is your role in the movie very different from who you really are?
It’s not a huge chasm from who I am. Chad is sort of similar to me. But it’s the first time I’ve gotten to play a jock. I normally play a nerd, so this is very different. But I like to stretch myself.
What’s next for you?
After the tour, we go to Utah to start filming High School Musical 2, which is supposed to come out in August.
What advice do you have for kids who’d like to follow in your footsteps?
If you love doing it, you just have to keep doing it. You can’t do it for the fortune and fame. You have to have the passion and keep on striving.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Never sacrifice your own self or your own morals for anyone else. Stay true to yourself. You need to truly know what you truly want to do.

I just would like to say watching ” Highschool Musical ” with my two nephews was fantastic indeed . I think both Corbin Bleu and Zac Efron are sooo cute as well . Congradulations on doing a great job and I hope the sequal to this movie will have a more higher standard than the first one . Hey Corbin, what was it like working with these actors in this particular movie ? Was it difficult to do all of these creative dance moves compare with this music video called ” Push it to the Limit ” from your new movie soon to be coming out for the Disney Channel ?
